My Passion

My passion, is to become a hip hop artist, not just a rapper. As a rapper, one only constructs verses made of words that rhyme and sound cool. I want to be much more than that. I want to be an artist, one who can construct well done songs that not only are catchy, but also have a theme. I want to be more than just the average. I'm planning to maximize my potential through hardwork, dedication, and overcoming the obstacles that one needs to cross in life. Whether it takes me 2 years or 10 years, I plan to continue to pursue my dreams.

Who am I?

I am Adan Ortega, I am 2Spiff, I am Axel, I am whatever you want to call me. I am a 17 year-old high school senior attending Laton High school. As well as a member of the MyLife project here at Laton. In this project, we will find ways to combine our personal interests with our class curriculums to come up with great projects that benefit not only us, but our community as well. And personally, it's going to be tough for me to combine my interests with my class curriculums. . . Primarily because of the fact that I love writing, and more importantly rapping. When people hear that I love to rap, I get these confused and disbelieving looks. I mean, when does a kid from a community of a thousand people or so hit the big time? Is that even possible? Honestly, no one knows. But to me, it will happen, I will make it, and I will build my life around my passion to rap, just like others will build it around their passion to weld, or skate, or sing, or make videos. Why? Because these things happen. Because it is my plan to be legendary, and to be phenomenal. I might not be great at football, basketball, school, or anything else, but I will be phenomenal at rapping. I'll be more than just a rapper too, I'll be an artist, a musician, a producer, and I will be legendary at it, and I will take flight. #TakeFlight #TheseThingsHappen #Legendary
